Terms of Service

1. Use of the Service

Our Service allows you to practice your Norwegian language skills by conversing with a custom AI model. You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to use the Service in any way that may:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations;
• Infringe the rights of others;
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service.

2. Account, Subscription, and Payment

We use Clerk for user authentication and Stripe for managing subscriptions and processing payments. For users who subscribe, payments are processed on a monthly basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method in accordance with our subscription terms.

Please note that payment history is maintained by Stripe for billing and accounting purposes.

3. Data and Content

When you use the Service, your conversations with the AI, email address, and onboarding preferences are stored in our European Supabase PostgreSQL database. You retain ownership of your content. However, by using the Service, you grant us a license to use, store, and process your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the content you generate while using the Service. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate.

4. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Disclaimer: Norwegian.app and its AI model are provided for language practice only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any responses generated by the AI.

Limitation of Liability: In no event shall Jenssen Teknodugnad ENK, its affiliates, or its respective officers, directors, or employees be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

All content and materials provided as part of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, and software, are the property of Jenssen Teknodugnad ENK or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

6. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue all or any part of the Service at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the Service or to us.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in Norway, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
