Courses

  • Learn-norwegian.net (A1)
Very beginner friendly and well constructed course for those just starting out! However the website could use a design update.

  • LearnNoW (A1-A2)
One of the best free online beginner's courses, available in English, Spanish, Polish, Ukrainian, Arabic and Tigrinya.

  • LearnNoW2 (B1)
A course that’s unfortunately only intended for people going into health care or medical fields. If that’s not for you, NoW2 (see link below) will probably be a better course to follow.

  • NoW1 (A1-A2)
A course made for exchange students at NTNU (contains a lot of region-spesific vocabulary and stories) which teaches the basics of Norwegian. The reading exercises are relatable for foreigners and the audio clips have both slow and normal mode which is extra helpful.

  • NoW2 (A2 - B1)
Great continuation of the NoW 1 Course (still a lot of regional related content) but the difficulty jump from the previous course is a little scary for some people. It reportedly does get better after you finish chapter 1 though!

  • FutureLearn
Made by Oslo University and NTNU, the 4 courses they offer have all received great reviews. PS: All their courses are only free during their trial period (1 month). After that they are priced around $60-70 for each course (or ~$200 for all a year of access to all their courses).

  • NoTe (A1 - C1) *PAID COURSES
Has a course for every level.
Prices seem to vary from $200 to $1000.
